Master of Ceremony and media personality MC Portfolio has revealed that he refused a 15,000 GH₵ bribe in 2020 to remove a Kumerica artiste from a Shatta Wale project.
In a Twitter/X post, he explained that the bribe was offered by the team of an upcoming artiste who wanted their act to replace one of the Kumerica boys on the “Ahodwo Las Vegas” project.
Despite needing the money, MC Portfolio stood firm on his principles. In his words:
“I refused a 15000 GH bribe in 2020 from the team of an upcoming just to take one of the Kumerica boys out of SHATTAWALE's project and put their artiste in! I needed money but stood on my principles and used my list! Today, all the guys on the ‘Ahodwo Las Vegas’ project are superstars, and I wouldn't have forgiven myself if I had blocked someone's breakthrough because of greed! I'm proud of myself for standing on integrity! Though these artistes don't make me feel appreciated enough, but Kumerica 1st.”

Today, all the artistes on the project have become superstars, and MC Portfolio says he would never regret choosing integrity over greed.
