Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Conduah |
Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Conduah, a self-styled international marriage counselor and radio personality, has been arrested by authorities for alleged offenses involving child sexual abuse material.
The arrest was carried out in the early hours of
March 6 by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) in collaboration with the Ghana
Police Service. The operation took place just as Ghana was preparing to
celebrate its 69th Independence Day.
According to the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George in a social media post on March 8, 2026, the suspect, Rev. Dr. Conduah is
being investigated for offenses related to child sexual abuse material under
Sections 62 and 63 of the Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038).
Investigators say the case involves the alleged
abuse of a 17-year-old minor. Authorities believe the abuse went on for about
four years.
During their investigation, the Cyber Security Authority team reportedly discovered recordings and online posts connected to the suspect on international pornography websites.
Rev. Dr. Conduah was taken to court and remanded to custody for three weeks. This will allow investigators enough time to complete their work on the case.
Authorities praised the Cyber Security
Authority team for their efforts in the arrest. They also warned that anyone
who breaks Ghana’s cyber laws will be found and held responsible, no matter who
they are.
The
case is expected to return to court after the three-week remand period as
investigations continue.
